Overview

A day trip to the well preserved Turkish castle dated in 1573 in Pylos.
Starting from Finikounda you ascent the hill from
the old main road. You will find many picturesque
spots to have a brief stop or have a coffee at the
local kafenion.
A panoramic view of Pylos awaits you. As you reach
Pylos Niokastro (new Castle) and the archaeological
museum of underwater antiquities is on the west on top of the hill . Go to the main square with the old oak
trees where the local shops and cafes are.
On your way back you can come back from
the main road to Methoni and Finikounda or choose
the blue alternative route with more elevation.

A panoramic view of Pylos awaits you. As you reach
Pylos you can visit Niokastro and the archaeological
museum. Go to the main square with the old oak
trees where the local shops and cafes are.
On your way back you can come back from
the main road to Methoni and Finikounda or choose
the blue alternative route with more elevation.
